Florida Licensed Roofing Contractor — CCC1330718
Tile, metal and shingle roof replacement, repair and waterproofing in North Port and Sarasota County. Licensed CCC1330718. Free inspection.
North Port Roofing
North Port is its own city with its own building division, so permits do not go through Sarasota County. It is also one of the fastest-growing cities in Florida, which means a roof here might be eighteen months old in Wellen Park or forty years old off Toledo Blade.
Because so much of North Port was built out in waves, entire subdivisions hit roof replacement age at the same time. We see a lot of cracked tile from original installation, shingle roofs with granule loss well ahead of their rated life, and underlayment failures on roofs where the tile itself is still sound.
Standard across older North Port subdivisions; tile cracks and underlayment failure are the usual reasons for replacement.
Common on 1990s-2000s homes and still the value choice for many North Port families.
Preferred on newer custom and Wellen Park construction.
TPO and modified bitumen on lanais, garages and additions.
Permits & Code
Every roof replacement in North Port requires a permit, and the submittal has to match the installed system exactly. Here is who reviews it and what the code requires.

| Building department | (941) 429-7045 |

Florida Building Code Section 706 governs re-roofing. On a full tear-off with a wood deck, deck re-nailing and a secondary water barrier are required, and no more than 25% of a roof area may be repaired or recovered in any 12-month period without bringing the whole roof section up to current code.
We submit product approval for the covering and the underlayment, record the Notice of Commencement when the job exceeds $5,000, and keep the approved documents on site for inspection.

Questions
Yes. North Port is a city with its own Building Division, separate from Sarasota County. Permits are submitted through northportfl.gov/building.
Permits are generally valid for 180 days from issuance and require an inspection to keep them active. We schedule the dry-in inspection before any covering goes on, which is the point where most delays are avoided.
Not as a separate test. What North Port requires is that the installed system match its Florida Product Approval, including the fastener pattern and adhesive schedule.
